Please ensure your posters are taken down at lunchtime and all items are removed from hall 2 as this will be closed to delegates. Certificates of attendances can be collected from the registration desk throughout the day.
Congress banquet
If you are attending the congress banquet tonight, please remember to wear your badge as this is your ticket into the Cathedral. The buses will depart from the ACC Riverside Entrance at 19:10.
If you are unsure about your banquet registration, please check with a member of staff at the registration desk.

European Gold Medal
The European Gold Medal will be presented to Ben Feringa by Pilar Goya, the President of EuCheMS, and Herman Overkleeft, the Chair of the International Award Committee during the opening ceremony on Sunday 26 August. At this time Ben Feringa will deliver his award lecture.
Bootleg Beatles Concert
The Bootleg Beatles, a Beatles tribute band, will form the entertainment on the Monday evening at the Congress and attendance is included in the Congress registration

August-Wilhelm-von-Hofmann-Denkmünze Award
The August-Wilhelm-von-Hofmann-Denkmünze will be presented to Michael Grätzel by Dr. Matthias Urmann, president of the GDCh, on Thursday 30 August at the Congress and at this time he will deliver also deliver his award lecture.

SCAM ALERT: A scam accommodation company has been contacting congress attendees. Please read the notice on the ‘Latest Update’ page for more information.
SCAM accommodation / travel provider
A company named Exhibitor Housing Services (EHS) is contacting speakers and delegates of the EuCheMS Congress claiming that they are attached to the 7th EuCheMS Congress with a fraudulent travel and hotel booking scheme. The company is calling / emailing attendees with regards to their accommodation and travel and encouraging bookings. The company makes various false claims, such as hotel rooms are running out and must be booked as soon as possible.
The company is in no way affiliated to the 7th EuCheMS Chemistry Congress or the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Please be aware that this is a SCAM and you should exercise extreme caution when contacted by EHS. We recommend that you DO NOT interact with this company in any way and do not provide them with any personal or financial information, or any details of your accommodation booking.
Conference delegates will not be contacted by any travel or accommodation agents with regards to the 7th EuCheMS Chemistry Congress. There are accommodation options that you can book with through the congress website (www.euchems2018.org). This is managed by the Liverpool Convention Bureau, however there is no obligation for this accommodation to be booked.

Abstract submission
Abstract submission is now open. The call for abstracts includes both oral and poster presentations and you will be asked to submit to one of the conference themes. The deadline for submission of oral abstracts closed on 19 February 2018. The deadline for posters will be 16 April 2018.
